Hey guys, Ok so Im new to this forum but been a pro wrench for 16 years now. I have an issue with my 00 DII. The stereo is driving me crazy!

Ok heres what it does some times it sounds great and then other times it sounds like the front speakers are muffled. Now it sounds great every time with the cd in the changer. But on the fm it cuts in and out. Its a se7 with the harmon kardon. Ive pulled the amp plugs and made sure they were clean and pins looked clean. Pulled the door panels and the speakers are good connections are clean and good.

Any imput would be great!! I searched and made it threw about 150 posts of the 440 that came up... :/ Thanks Guys!

 

I got most of the same symptoms. Cleaned inside of amp and connectors. No change. Probably just get a used amp from Paul Grant.

I'm guessing you've got a Green 2000 model, seems to happen to those more than others.

I'm fighting the head gasket, water pump, radiator and thermostat right now, so stereo fading out sometimes is way down the list.

 

I have a problem with right front upper speaker getting too hot. Not sure what my issue is. I hate dealing with stereo and speaker issues.
