Default 01 CDL question

How far into the 01 model year did the transmissions have the CDL capability?

They stopped putting the CDL nipple in after March of 2001. If you find one built in March, your best bet is to crawl under and check for the nipple. If its build prior to march 01, you'll def have it, if its after, you def wont have it.

You can upgrade the T-case to be CDL capable, but its not quite as easy (and more expensive) to do. Its not plug and play like the T-cases with the nipple already there.

One nipple is all you need when things get rough.

I recently added a T-case with a nipple and DI linkage... so much better, but was quite a pain in the ***.

I often find myself crawling underneath to rub on it a little.

If you want any tips or advice just PM me your phone number and I will give you every bit of knowledge I have... it will take all of about 15 seconds.

So, have you checked to see if you have the shift nipple on your t/case, it is the one in the middle of the round plate held down by 3 bolts.
