A replacement BCU needs to have the ECU re-programmed to "learn" the new BCU, not sure you could just send off the BCU. If you replaced ECU and BCU as a pair, that may work. As you mentioned, cluster odometer if not swapped will flash. But these are all things a shop with the right computer can take care off.

Well we were having problems with it like it was missing and we were getting misfiring codes on our OBDII. Then one day the truck just shutoff at a stoplight and wouldn't start back up. So we had the Crankshaft position sensor replaced and it still wouldn't start up. So it just sat a while and we charged the battery and it would start up, but only for a couple minutes and then it would shutoff and be hard to start again. After it happened we pulled the P1668 code and I looked it up and it said something about the BCU. So we came to conclusion we would replace the BCU but now I found out we need to replace the ECU, BCU, and gauge cluster?

Here's what Paul wrote to me in December 2020.
"While I'm not really taking in Rovers for parting I still have thousands of parts sitting on my shelves. ... If you're looking for something, it's always worthwhile sending me a PM.
Cheers,
Paul
