Default 02 Disco Shift and Leak

Well, finished 30k service with the exception of the transfer case. The e-brake cable was in the way of the fill plug and didn't feel like removing the driveshaft or e-brake to get to it. Anyway, I noticed I had oil leaking from the valve covers and from the oil pan, down to the right side cat. Is this a major problem or can I let it slide for a while? Also, I notice when I drive when it's cold, it hesitates to shift to 4th. It stays in third at 50 mph for 5-6 minutes before shifting. When it gets to normal temp, everything is fine. Problem? BTW, Mike, my drive shaft u-joints are greaseless. Thanks for the help.

Rover v/c gaskets and engine pan seals are supposed to leak, it gives you some unnecessary to worry about. Unless they are dripping on the ground don't worry.
As for the shifting issue, you need to have someone check the ATF and make sure your tranny is not a little low on fluid. By the way, how long ago was it changed?

ChangedATF 2 weeks ago. Had shift issue before that, though.
