Default 03 DII Brakes vibrate slightly when depressed

I changed the front and rear pads and rotors a few years ago. I hardly drive the car and probably put about 5k in it since. When I press the brakes there is a slight wobble/vibration in the pedal when depressed. The rotors and pads look good. The photos aren’t that good. I did drive them in the snow about 5 years ago on the way back from OH to SC. Thoughts? Pads, rotors or both if that’s even the issue.

Sounds like you need rotors, or pull those and have them turned. In either case, I would also replace the pads. If the vibration is very minor and the pads are still pretty thick, you could just deal with it for a while.

Easy to change out brake pads and rotors. Get in there and get dirty.

I always get new rotors. They are thin to start with and depending on where you get them turned, they aren't much more expensive.

I actually use the duralast gold rotors on all my cars. They are fully painted so they don't rust as much. Never had an issue with them.

Easiest thing you can try before replacing anything...........
Typical pad bedding process will clean off pad residue etc.if that is the issue, but not hurt anything if it isnt.
Free process and cant hurt..........

Accelerate to about 40-50 mph then with 80% braking pressure slow the truck to about 20 mph then repeat 4-5 times back to back.
Dont panic if the rotors smoke - they can smoke when new doing this and might turn blue depending on how hot they get.
You can just drive a bit after to cool them back down and see if it helped....

I've had good luck with the cheap rotors, even Brembo, though many prefer the fancy slotted drilled kind... I don't go cheap on the pads, get the ceramic euro pads, Akebono, you will never have brake dust on your wheels again and they last.
