Hi,

03 discoII and the horn is blowing every time I remote lock the doors. I noticed the rubber around the switch in the hood is ripped up, and maybe thats the faulty switch.

anyone know the part? I have been searching online, but coming up short.

Before you go buying a switch, unplug that one and see if you still have a problem, if it still honks, then another switch is causing you the grief.

 

unplug switch connector. And leave it that way. The problems that it will put you thru if immobilzation happens after dead battery are a real pain.

I'd test it before replacing it: AMR5633

 

I pulled the switch for the bonnet and it fell apart in my hands. Remote lock, and no more horn, so looks like that was the bad switch.

looks like I'll just leave it out if that's not gonna cause other problems
