My service engine light came on awhile back so I disconnected the battery & it cleared it & the light went off.The light stayed off for right at 200mi then came back on.I repeated this proceedure twice more with the exact same results. I took it to the dealer & they said the code read that there was a problem with the purge valve & they would have to order the part which would take 3 days & cost me 395.00, and they would call me when the part arrived.Anyway, I've now been driving over 600mi without the light coming back on and strangely enough I've never received a call about the part arriving. What in the world could all of this mean?By the way,the car runs perfectly. Thanks guys.

By the way, you can not clear a fault code by disconnecting the battery, it will always come right back.
