My girls 03 disco has 43k on it. SHe told me about a week ago it seemed to be running rough. I didn't think much of it untill I got in it the other day. Service engine lightis blinking, and misfiring terrible.

I am going to order some Magnacor 8mm and Bosch plus 4. WHat other dmaged do you think could have been done since the vehicle was driven over a week like this.I am hoping none but I am guessing possibly theO2 sensors areno longer good. Should I be looking into some coil packs as well?

 

Just the plugs and wires.
Then clear the codes and drive it and see what, if any, come back.
No you do not need to buy coils.

As far as I know, no, no codes for bad coil packs.

 

A blinking service engine light means serious trouble and the vehicle should not be driven until the problem is fixed. You could do more damage.

 

Yes, there are 12 fault codes running from P0350 to P0362 indicating different coil issues.

You are doing the right thing with the wires and plugs. What octane gas does she run in her Disco?
When you get it back up and running, you might consider doing an induction clean to help de-carbon the engine for better performance.

 

Sounds good. I have my Magnacor 8mm an Plus 4's on order they should be here wed. She has run 87 but that will no longer happen. I will let you know how I make out. Thanks for all the info and help.
