2003 autotransmissiondiscovery,

I drove down the road, i stopped and then turned a corner, I hearda pop.
The auto transmissionwont work. the engine runs fine, but it wont move.
I had to tow the car. The car wont go into any gear, just acts like its in neutral.
the car only has 35,000 miles.

Any ideas?

 

Are you still in warranty??
You have broken either one of your diffs/axles, be it the front or the rear I can't tell you with out looking. What sort of a shop did you tow it to, dealer or small shop?
If you are out of warranty, I hope not the dealer cause they will kill you with this repair where in a small non dealer shop, you can install a used diff or axles and save a bundle.

That is not the answer I was looking for, either you are or are not in warranty, if so is it a factory warranty or aftermarket, if aftermarket does it cover axles and diffs?
Come on, you must have a copy of some warranty, what is it?

 

The same thing accurred to me back in July. It turned out to be the front differential. The repair is expensive. With luck, I had purchased an extended warranty and it was covered.
