03 Oiling issues

As stated you are not out of the woods with an 04'!!!

I'll post my finding on the engine condition of an 04' engine that has been maintained by the book or greater. I've owned it since new and am a licensed aircraft technician so I know a great deal about machines. It's not good and my 03' keeps going with no problems
(for now)!!!!

bottom hose blew we suspect.. no water.......cam bearing practicly melted, well all bearings to copper....no water at 70mph on expressway...one minute with eyes off temp gauge...i wasn't even upset as it didn't tick anymore...I felt pretty liberated actually...it's been sitting in my driveway for almost 8 months now....i really like driving my wifes s40 volvo though..33mpg.....

My 2003 disco just started all of the symptoms you guys are talking about. Car is in the shop..... most likely will need a new camshaft or engine....

I can't seem to find this technical service bulletin.... can someone post a link that is working? Or is this something that doesn't exist?
