'03 SAI Solenoid & Vacuum Locations
As I went through my engine bay there were lots of loose hose clamps, and various vacuum and SAI hoses were disconnected. Even the intake plenum was loose; remarkable the engine ran at all with all that was wrong here. I've concluded the guy who previously owned my 2003 DII is a moron, or he used a mechanic who is a complete moron -- a "professional" should never conduct his business like this.
Anyway.... I cleared my codes (there were a lot) and now the only ones I get are P1414 & P1417 - SAI "air delivery not reaching the catalysts."
So now I have two questions. First, where exactly is the SAI solenoid located? I ask because I suspect it may be completely missing from the engine bay considering my "moron" situation. I looked in the Rave PDF and found a picture, but I don't see that solenoid in the engine bay, or on the engine.
And the second question (unrelated to the SAI) - on the aluminum intake manifold on the RH side of the engine there is a hard plastic vacuum hose that goes to the brake booster. The booster end connection is fine, but the end that attaches to the manifold is just jammed in there loosely.
Is there a special connector that belongs on the manifold side of that line?

Here you go, this should help you find your way.

The second question:
Yes, There is a special connector that goes into the intake. I also broke mine and had it rigged up in there for almost a year before forking out the cash to get the replacement. Most of the time the hose breaks also so you may need to do what I had to and buy a new vacuum tube and connector.

This is very helpful, thank you. Interestingly, my SAI Vacuum Reservoir is located above the SAI Pump on the upper rear RH side of the engine bay, not the lower rear LH side. Wonder why the difference?
Land Rover made some small changes for the 03'-04' Discovery 2 when they switched to the 4.6L engine. I'm guessing that they switched up some locations of the SAI. The layout link I posted is for the discovery up to 03'. Sorry about that, but I can't find the layout for the 4.6. I'll try and find one for you but everything should be similar.
As of late I have not been an active Porschefile -- but that is always subject to change!

Ha, good catch! I've been lurking around lots of different forums over the years, and especially the Porsche forums when I owned my 1986 944 turbo. I don't remember exactly which Porsche ones since it was over 10 years ago, but Rennlist rings a bell.

Small world indeed! I am also ACG on Rennlist and Pelican.... see my signature. I do miss my old loves, but just not the season in life for sports car and racing with having raising 3 young kids who have not left the nest yet. The Porsche fund is now the college fund for the next few years
