'04 Disco 2 - Won't Start after Timing Chain Replacement
After a long, drawn out saga.... we finally come to an end.
This last quote is painful... really painful.
After hiring someone to take a look at the truck, it turns out there were three issues with the truck...
1) bad CPS.
2) Inertia switch was cracked and may have not been making a good connection.
3) (The Kicker) ... There was water in the fuel tank.
After they fixed these things, the truck fired right up.
My guess is that the water in the fuel is what was driving this all along.
Thanks everyone for all of your help. It is greatly appreciated.
Wow. A trifecta of items that will keep an engine from starting.
Rarely would I say it is better to take the rover to a mechanic than do it yourself.
Yours was one of those rare times. Money well spent!
