04 disco lift?

Default 04 disco lift?

i am wanting to lift my 04 disco 2 inches or so to enable larger tires. where do i begin? what all do i need? and Where to find it? can i do it myself? it is not my daily driver, but a recreational vehicle. seems like a lot of questions, but any information would beappreciated.

I think that a lot of the guys here do the OME lifts

As for installing the spacers. I found the directions here www.discoweb.org under spacer install.

Biggest mistake you can do is to add spacers to a tired old Rover suspension, if you thought it was top heavy before, you haven't felt anything yet.
New coils and shocks are the only way to go.

I have 2" spacers on my 03 right now but I just bought OME shocks & springs to replace them (RoverNorth). The spacers are ok for non-bumpy roads only. If you go over a bump with any speed or off road, you will get a load clunk and probably brake something.

Save the money for spacers and put it towards new shocks & springs.
