Can someone confirm that the keyless remote is built into the key itself for the '04 Discovery? I found an '04 I'm interested in, but apparently there is only 1 (regular) key with it. I called my Rover dealer to find out how much this would cost me to get a replacement ($260!). It's a necessity for me; it's so cold here it has to be unlocked by the time I get to my car! Thanks!!

 

yeah, i've got an 04 disco. yup, the keyless entry is built into the key. are you buying the car from the only owner. the owner should have two copies of the key if he/she bought it new from the dealer.
