04 Discovery II Misfire
Good morning all!
I bought this 04 Discovery II a back in June. Drove it for a month or so and noticed that vehicle started running a bit rough. Took it in, had it scanned and it scanned a few misfires and a mixture adaption. I was told to start with the misfire. So, I changed the plugs and wires. Still ran crappy. Changed the Crankshaft Positioning Sensor. Still ran crappy. Last thing I changed now has been the coil pack. Still running crappy and now reading misfires on 3, 5, and 7. I am lost. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Much thanks!

Without specific codes, it's tough to diagnose over the internet. Recommend getting Pxxxx numbers for the codes and starting there. Your misfire issues seem to be isolated to the DS bank, could be a DS O2 sensor, head gasket, or many other things.
Did you put all 4 bolts back into the coil pack mounting bracket? If any of them are loose or missing, you will sometimes get a misfire. This has been debated but was a problem for me one time.
Unless you are losing coolant that is almost certainly a bad mass air flow sensor, based on what you have already replaced. Be sure you don't have old spark plug wires shorting first but it sounds like MAF shenanigans to me.
I went and got some Mass Air Flow Sensor cleaner and cleaned it out. It started up and we drove it up to the garage so we could hook the scanner up to it. It read the same misfires as it did before and also had a new one on Cylinder 6. Well, then it wouldn't start. I ended up taking it apart where the air sensor is and it started up, ran for about 2 minutes (best it's been running) and killed. Was looking at ordering a Mass Air Flow Sensor being there is no coolant in places where it shouldn't be. Rather confused though.
