The hose is so long because the metal loop under the radiator acts as a cooling mechanism. Keep an eye on it as they like to corrode.

3) There's a bleed screw on the left hand/drivers side of the adjustment screw. It looks just like a brake bleed nipple. It's really not an issue, however. Fluid doesn't go spraying when you pull the lines it just runs everywhere.

4) Pretty bullet proof - major steering slop and binding when turning the wheel. Issues are VERY rare.

5) Don't ask why but the spring isn't officially available separately, maybe aftermarket - nothing particularly magical about the spring so a suitable substitute should be able to be found. That being said, MSRP on Genuine replacement arms is $41.42 which I think is pretty cheap considering wiper blades are $23.

6) probably the door checker - the thin metal strap in the middle. Greasing it should may help.

7) Correct, no warning lights.
Thank you so much for addressing all the issues and thanks for the part numbers for O-rings. I have a set of o-rings from Harbour Freight, which I am hesitant to use. Had bad experience with their merchendises. Made too cheaply. I was looking on Ebay for new Wiper Arms and new ones were 100-120, I am glad to hear that the dealer has it cheaper. Will visit them on monday.

Anybody knows a mechanic specializing in Rover's other than the dealer in Detroit area?

Regards,
Hamid

Tell me about it with the Harbour Freight stuff, I def wouldn't use those. The O-rings should be around $1 and change each.

The part number for the wiper arms is DKB102840, same part right and left.

Can't help out on the specialist, sorry. I can say they're generally better with the D2s than the dealers simply because they see so many more than the dealer does these days.

Could you please tell me which one of the part numbers are for the power steering and which one for the active cornering system? or do I need 2 O-rings for each hose? I looked up the part numbers it just say thin for one and thick for another part number. I have only 2 hoses at the steering box.

There is also a strange noise when the engine first starts and just after I let the key go, which seems to be coming from under the dash board, lasts for only 1-2 seconds. It almost sound as if you continue to krank, when the engine has already started. But this one is after I let the key go. Any idea what it could be.

Thanks
