I charged the battery.. According to the charger I used the battery is good... Again all electrical inside the cab i.e. Radio, aftermarket fog lights, headlights, dome lights even the dinging when you turn the key before starting.. The truck now makes no noise at all when trying to start... I did discover fuse #5 under the hood which is a 40amp is blown.. What does this mean?

Instead of all this testing, climb under that D2 with an 8MM allen 3/8 socket (kinda odd socket, but LR slapped the starter on with allen head bolts), some 3/8 extensions, and remove that starter! If tapping on it with a hammer didn't fix it, yank it off, go to Auto Zone and grab one for 99.00 or at least have em test it.

I had an 04 Jeep GC not wanna start 100 miles from no where out at the lake one time. I checked the battery, all good, relays, fuses, and all checked out. I left it alone until we were gonna leave and I put the key into position II, climbed under it and bypassed the solenoid after tapping on it. Turned right over and I headed home.
Found out later I had a bad solenoid and a flat spot on the starter. Slapped in a replacement and that 04 Jeep 4.7L GC never started that good the entire 4-5 years I had owned it!!!!
My 98 D1 turned over pretty weak when I bought it. Cleaned all the terminals and still slow/weak. Slapped in a D2 starter and retired the original and it turns over so smooth and fast now.
They get old and tired, and eventually die. It's not a bad job (heatshield was the biggest PITA), but 100.00 plus your old dead one for a core and you're good to go.
