Default '04 into '03 engine swap

I have an '03 Disco w/ 120k miles and 2 cylinders w/ some coolant leakage. Rebuild is more than the car is worth but getting a used complete motor is way more reasonable. How bid a deal is it to r/r the entire engine and get the electronics to play nice together? Have done similar replacements in MG's, Porsches, etc.

They are the exact same engine and engine management, pull out the old and drop in the new.
The truck wont know the difference.

Do you know for sure that you have dropped a sleeve, if not, I would verify that before considering an engine swap.

Mike:
this is the '03 disco that 2 years (37k miles) ago I was told the engine had not a dropped cylinder but some erosion of the material around the liner (#6) and that allowed coolant into the cylinder , the cooling system would get overpressure and drive out the coolant. Block was supposedly totaled (not cylinder head)
I did a sealant treatment which solved the problem and has lasted since then, but now #4 plug is starting to turn "orange" . REst of the truck is great, but don't want to go cylinder by cylinder with this.
So if i get a low mileage '04 how hard is it to do a swap?
thanks again
