Put it this way, in 2003 I bought my D2 ES7 TD5 new for £24.500 (about $31,500 at today's rate), admittedly this was a knock down price from a reputable large LR dealership. If you are considering paying $15K for a 14 year old D2 you either have far too much money or you need to see a shrink soon. $15K is far too much for an old D2 even with 60K miles on it. It's value is more likely to be $6-7K max.

 

Where in VA? I live in VA and if it's nearby I would be willing to go give it a look for you.

That said, 14.5k is still insane.

Talk to the guy. Find out why the asking price is so high. Look up the value on Kelly blue book or nada and share that info. You might find a nice middle ground for a win-win.
