im after some parts and need to know if a 1997 parts tail lights and steering box would fit onto my 1994 one

Yes. I know the tail lights for sure will fit and I'm about 90% certain the steering box will fit. All Discos from 1994 to early 1999 are for the most part the same.

 

The parts you want should fit. However there are a few differences in the two. 1994 and 1995 had the 3.9 V8 with a distributor and a different intake. Starting 1996 (I am pretty sure) they also had different computers and the ODB II reader plug. Starting the transmission back I think everything is the same and the body is the same as far as I know. Hope this helps.
