You gotta ask yourself, why would they put a defroster on only one side window?
I don't know why; I just know I have the defroster looking antenna on both sides

1997 started the in window antennas.

remove passenger side tire, pull wheel well plastic insert away. unscrew antennae, pull wire from out of the firewall. you can push the 2 tabs that hold the glovebox lid out of way, wire for radio is right there. push new assembly(cable) through. this took me and a friend 10 minutes. this is a easy fix, Bill
