Default 1995 Just dies while driving it and will not start back up??

I got a 95 Disco that some days will run like a dream and other days she will shut down and die going down the road. When that happens it will not start again. Some days she will start some days she wont. Fuel pump and tank has been changed, gas cap....Has anyone ever had this problem I love this truck and want to keep her but has to be able to go

I take it you have checked the cap and rotor, but I do remember that someone else had a similar problem. Turned out to be the air gap setting in the distributor. It would warm up and die.

Also figuring that when it won't start again, you have good fuel pressure?

I'll bet my life savings it's the rotor in the distributor! I just had the same problem. Off and on it would or wouldn't start. I spent $500 having some local idiot mechanic replacing parts thinking it was something else. I'm in S. IN...not many Rovers around here.

I contacted another mechanic (2 hours away in TN) that works strictly on Rovers and he told me to buy a rotor and replace the current one. It worked...no issues! The rotor cost $16.

I called OReilly Auto Parts and ordered it. When you order it, give them year, make, model and engine size. If they ask for your VIN give it as well.

Good Luck!

I Really do hope this will fix it. If for some reason it does not, does anybody else have any other ideas or experince anything like this before?

Just wat I said..... But try the rotor first. I have heard several complaints from not using genuine parts.

I ahd an issue similar when I had my 94', it ended up being the o2 sensors. They were malfunctioning and would send erratic signals to the ecu and would stall the motor, when was the last time you replaced them?

The o2 sensors have never been changed....I have a list of things to do to it now air gap setting in the distributor, rotor and the o2 sensors. That least I have places to start. I will go get her next week and do all of this. Thanks for all of your help, I hope to have her back on the road SOON!!
