Exclamation 1999 Land Rover Discovery II Cranks with no start

I have a 1999 Discovery II that will crank, but no start, no fire, no spark, no injector pulse. Tachometer (RPM gauge) does not move while cranking, however engine diagnostics says there is a reading. Battery is good, alternator is good.

Changed the crankshaft sensor with still no change. Waiting on camshaft sensor to arrive, but unsure if this will even fix the issue.
Will a faulty camshaft sensor or O-Ring around the sensor cause this type of problem? Does anyone have any suggestions on what the problem might be. My father and I are stumped if the camshaft sensor doesn't fix this.

Did you check the inertia switch on the firewall?

Yes. The fuel pump does work.

What you report are the classic crankshaft position sensor symptoms. Are you certain you installed it correctly? I don't recall the camshaft position sensor causing the symptoms your truck is exhibiting.

I am pretty certain the crankshaft sensor was installed correctly. However, we plan on taking a look at it to make sure it is when we get the camshaft sensor in. I read somewhere that sometimes both cam and crankshaft sensor should be changed together. I also read somewhere that it might be the timing?
I did see something somewhere about the vehicle “thinking it has been stolen”, but I am not sure how to test that or even go about fixing it.

If all else fails I would look at replacing the ecu. I bought one out of a junkyard cuz nobody could fix it. It acted just like what you described. I got a used ecu, bcu, and gauge cluster for 100 bucks and she fired right up.
