Default 2” lift with rear air springs

Hello,

I add to my „Disco” some extra heavy equipment (metal bumper + winch) located on the front axle. The balance is about 100 kG, so I think about suspension change. I would like to convert original front springs for medium-duty springs 2”lift. In conjunction with appropriate shock absorber, of course.

The rear suspension is classical air. It works fine so I do not like to replace it. I know that I should use special spacer blocks to elevate rear air bags (to hold the level car body), and also change the shock absorbers.

My question is: should I do anything with ride height sensors ? Are they able to work with 2” lift ? Should I use any dedicated spacer for them ?. May be some kits on the market prepared for such a conversion.

Thanks for ideas and help,

Best regards,

Piotr Szulewski

If you want 2 more inches to the rear, RTE and Lucky 8 have a 2" spacers that comes with height adjuster for the switches, I used them for year for a good 3" lift with no problems.
