Default 2 Vents Not Blowing

My Disco 2 blows air through all the vents except the outer most ones. So left of the steering wheel(driver), and the far right one on the passenger side.

Any ideas on how to get into this duct system to see if there is a blockage?

Thanks
S

The problem I suffered recently was a differential in temperatures in the A/C system. This was due mainly to the rear A/C not being used often enough.

However, this doesn't answer your question. Firstly are the two outlets switched to air ON. There are problems with these old trucks where the diverter flaps which are sealed with foam sheet and they shed the sheets in bits which clog up the airways. Another problem is parking under trees especially if the heater pollen filter is missing and the system becomes blocked with leaves. As for removing the air ducts, it's a slow and difficult back braking job and best to consult the RAVE manual.

I put a screwdriver into the vent. Both have broken closure pieces, so the air flowed out after I moved it.

Question, how do I pop these off? There is a red jelly substance back there that I'd like to clean, and maybe even fix the closure valve.

Thanks for the help.

Default Vent

So here is a vent. Does it just slip out or do I have to clear a clip in the top and bottom??

Thank
S

Looks like the side metal pieces are the problem. Recommend to just pull hard?

Best way to remove is pop the inner vent out first. Then grab through the top and bottom and pull out. No breaking.

Thanks for the pics. I think most "modern" cars have the press in style vents and nozzles. Its just a matter of finding the tab to push and clear the housing...
