Default 2000 Disco II headlight mod done

[align=left]Hey all. I've been thinking about this conversion for quite a while now, purchased the headlights a year ago, but was only able to get this done recently. I did not do this myself, I paid a bodyshop to do this, tough others may consider this a DIY project. What do you guys think? Incedentally, the car is now listed for sale as the wife wants an X5.

If you don't mind sharing... what did that entire mod set you back? (i.e. parts and labor)

I saw a listing on eBay for the full instructions and details on how to do this proceedure. Did you use those instructions?

Either way it looks good. Good job.

Very nice! I'm interested as well in what a body shop charges for that sort of labor.

Well, I don't know what your local bodyshop would charge you, as they like pulling numbers out of their asses, but:
I got the slightly used headlights on eBay for about $250 for the pair. I paid the bodyshop $700, but they did some other insignificant work as well, so the conversion cost me just under $1000, possibly even less if they had ONLY done the conversion and nothing else. There was cutting involved, the new headlights won't go in unless you remove some metal underneath. Connecting them to the existing wiring is also tricky, but evidently, it can be done. Otherwise, people out there HAVE done this on their own.
