Default 2000 DISCO II will not start!

Hi guys,
My 2000 DISCO II will not start. I thought it was the battery, So I replaced it, but I am still not getting anything. Could it be the starter and if so, what type of cost am I looking at for part and labor? My 2000 DISCO II has 71,000 miles on it. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Regards,
Marlymarl

Is it turning over or just clicking or nothing? Are you getting spark or fuel?

check your cables and ground wire. and also check voltage on the "new" battery. I bought a dealer only battery for my Cadillac and it was dead when I got it home.

I don't have a voltage meter. Where is the ground wire located on 2000 Disco II?

It will be the black wire. Follow it back from the battery to where it ends. Make sure your battery connections are clean and tight. You can take the battery to any autoparts store and they will test it for free..
