Default 2002 DII with 12k on the odometer on eBay

The asking is a bit off the charts, but man talk about a barn find!

For that price they should include the battery cover.

Mileage and condition are impressive for sure. I think both are related to the completely undesirable factory paint color. Has to be one of the worst. I don't think I would drive it much either.

A few months ago my brother found a 2004 BMW Z4 with 17K on the clock. He bought it right at book value which Edmunds showed at $12,000. I checked Edmunds for this truck and dealer retail came back at $4,424. If I really wanted another DII and could buy it for something like $6K or even $8K it would be a helluva deal since knowing what I've learned at the School of Hard Knocks should allow me to have a great truck for a long, long time. But at $19K it makes no sense.

Rio Red I think, not a bad color ( I had a 97 D1 in that color), but that low of miles means to me it's sat for a reason lol. I prefer higher mile LR's that have been well maintained and the bugs worked out of em myself.

KBB has the top end of the trade in value at $4,000.

Definitely impressive, but not THAT impressive. Those miles aren't low enough for it to be priced like that. That's double, maybe triple digit mileage price. I wouldn't pay more than 10k if I were in the market for something like that.

I agree with Frank, not my favorite color, especially with the light interior. That color with black inside or any other paint with the tan is better IMO. Different strokes for different folks.

Rioja red was on multiple years of D1 but only on the D2 for 1999, so this one is probably a different, but similar, color. Maybe Alveston Red.

Here was my D2 in Rioja:
