2002 discovery II w/ SAI
Hey guys, I found a 2002 discoveryII i think i can get for $7000.00
114,000 miles in excellent shape, went through it for over a hour. I called my rover guy and he said to stay clear of SAI. MI got my daughter a 2000 Discovery II and it does not have it. WIll this SAI be a deal killer? I have a RR 95 4.0 for the past 9 years and put 200,000.00 miles on it and got it with 93,000.00 miles. Besides a head gasget job at around 180,000.00, i have kept it running like a beast doing the work myself. Anyone have any reason why this truck would be a bad deal because of SAI? let me know if so....
Thanks ALL, Chris

SAI is in no way a deal breaker.
It will make it harder to work on because it will always be in the way.
SAI is a emissions device, it lowers them, think of it as California emissions on a Michigan truck.
SAI does need service once and awhile though.

.SAI is annoying to deal with, but by no means should you run away from a truck that has it.
