Default 2003 Disco CDL activator

Hello all,
ive read that the 2003 Disco 2 does indeed have CDL but no activator installed . Is this true , how is it done?

tnx Jeff, 2003 2. 147,600 miles. Mechanic offered me 9k today for rover. I was stunned

1999-2001.5 have the cdl but no linkage. Can be activated with a 10mm socket on top of the nose cone on the tcase from underneath the truck or you can install the linkage.

02-03 have a completely open diff. No cdl at all. Only hi-lo lever.

04 has CDL and linkage to activate it on the hi-lo lever.

In some markets outside of the US, the 2003 had a CDL, but the NAS one did not.
I built a hybrid transfer case for mine, marrying the 2003 case with the locking output section from my old '99. But replacement or major surgery like that is the only way that you'll get a CDL in a US 2003 truck.

Some early 02's have the CDL Nipple. I've owned several early 02's with it, but yes 99-01 for sure. 03 absolutely nada!
