Default 2003 Discovery with CDL?

I have a 2003 Discovery that has, what looks like, CDL. I have not seen another 2003 Discovery with the same transfer case shifter that I have. All of the literature that I have read indicates that this is not possible yet there it is. Has anyone heard of this phenomenon?

There was someone on one of the other forums that had one that had a CDL and appeared to be factory. You should be surprised at nothing from Lode Lane tbh...

I'm voting you have a 2004 built in 2003. What's the 10th digit of the VIN?

Either that or someone added the CDL. A 2004 or D1 CDL lever looks pretty stock. All of the cutting, if required, would be hidden.

Or better yet, why don't you slide it left and lock it?

The 10th digit of the VIN is 3. I just went in it and verified that it slides over to the left and then the indicator light goes on that the manual says mean's the differential is locked.

If it moves left at all you have a CDL. Are the roof rails on top 4"+ wide or 1.5" wide?

I had an 04 LT230 Transfer Case and 04 Shifter put into my 03 Discovery. Works well, The donor vehicle had 38K. So when I do end up selling it the next owner will have an 03 with CDL.
