Default 2003 Disco rear diff

I have an 03 Disco that needs a new rear differential. I found a replacement from a 00 Disco and they say it is the same part, or at least that it will work on the 03. I'm trying to make sure that the year 00 part will fit my 03. Any help would be great!!

Yes it will work.
As a rule any part from any DII will fit any other DII and any part from a DI will fit any other DI.
This is true with 98% of Disco parts.

The diffs are the same between the D1 and DII, though there may be a difference between the input flange, depending on the years you're comparing. But the input flanges can be swapped over.
