I found out my rear differential needs to be rebuilt my question is spline count.
For a 2003 Disco.
Which one is it I need to start ordering parts to rebuild it is the 24 spline.

So far by looking at the pictures it looks like a Ford 9 Inch rear end type set up.
I seen some rebuilts for $400.00 then again I need to know which one I need to order and spline count.

Yes, all "rover type" axles since mid-1993 are 24 spline. On North American Spec you are only going to find 10 spline axles on RRC and maybe the Defender 110, unless parts were replaced for some reason (and D2 always have 24 spline).

I found a rebuilt 3rd member for $399.00 I going go this route.

 

Oh, one other thing, the 2003-2004 discovery with the 4.6L engine has a 4 pinion differential instead of the 2 pinion differential that most 2002 and earlier has.
