Default 24 spline axel

I have been looking this over for a while now and i think i have it figured out, but i figured i would run it past you guys. Is it the case that, rovers without ABS have a 10 spline axel and the ABS models have 24 spline axels. So my 1996 Disco I has ABS, which means i have stock 24-spline axels in it- correct? so if i went HD I don't have to do anything but change the halfshaft/axel and flanges correct?
thanks for the help.

I am not set on it. I have decided to build up my DI rather than my DII. I might put a locker on the rear and if i do it would be nice to know that if i break a stock axel i can just put in a HD axel from GB. planning ahead thats all. So are 96 Disco's stock with 24 spline?
