Default 2003 Discovery ADVICE

Should I avoid this vehicle?

2003 Landrover Discovery HSE
SALTP16463A782739 VIN falls under oil pump problem
this has me very worried. Everything works on this truck.
It has 107,000 miles on it. The more I read about these the more I devalue them. Is this truck out of the danger zone with the oil pump?
I want to own a Landrover very bad but I'm not thinking this is worth it....

The VIN is indeed in the range for the oil pump failure. If I were you I'd steer clear of that truck. If you off road a lot and you're positive you want a DII look into an 04, they have the biggest engine (4.6) and the best goodies.

Get either a '02 or a '04.
If you get the '02 you can put the '04 headlights in it.
That truck may be fine, or the oil pump may have been replaced once already.

What are you planning on using a Disco for, if for hard wheeling, stay away from the 02's and 03's cause you can't lock the t/case which means a lot less traction.

Yes, with a '04 you should be fine.
