sorry, holiday weekend and beer.. to much alcoholic beverages. I think trouble ahead for me ReceptionRover. $2500 worth of work.

At $2500 you are not too far short of buying a Turner Sleeved short block.

This seems to be a trend...

What is he going to do for $2500?

Was it misfiring before this happened or was it all of a sudden?

Check with nickman347, abran, or Paul grant on a used engine and I'm sure you can get a good block from them. I order a lot from abran and nickman(through his eBay store since he operates a Land Rover salvage yard in Kentucky) and abran BC usually he gets back to me before Paul grant and that's nothing against Paul at all so please don't take that the wrong way, but you can get a good block off of eBay and then have it rebuilt. I know there is a shop in bham that did my heads and they have been rebuilding a gems or Thor at least once a month and they charge between $2200 and $2700 for a complete engine rebuild. They is somebody up here that is restoring them like crazy
