Brakes wearing quickly?- LR Discovery Series II
Hey Guys,
This is my first post on the forums. Normally, I am very active on several BMW and Mercedes forums but this is my first entrance into Land Rover.
I have a friend who has a 2002 Discovery Series II Westminster and she has been going through brakes like mad. She has replaced all corners about 3 times already with the car only having about 60k miles. She doesn't drive it like some of you off roaders, just normal daily commutes and some tough San Francisco hills.
Are Land Rover brakes typically replaced this frequently? Furthermore, do most dealers allow you to go within 3mm of rotor surface before requiring a brake change. With my 3-series, I replace them before the rotors hit 5mm and have only had to do so once in the life of the car. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

A little typical but not to the extent that she is going thru them.
What brand of pad is she using and have the rotors been replaced?
