Default 2003 transmission question..

Hey all..was up in the mountains again this weekend, and I've come to the conclusion that when I'm at altitude, the shift points change. When I start from a stop, 1st is reluctant to shift for a long time. It will eventually shift, but 2nd will do the same thing ie where the revs will climb higher than normal before it will shift. Seems like as soon as I'm back down from altitude, also at a higher ambient temp, everything is back to normal. I had it in sport mode if that makes any difference. Runs fine otherwise, and like i said, when I'm back at sea level, all is normal, truck runs and shifts fine. I did a trans flush and service last summer, so no issues then or since, just when at altitude.

Ideas? Thanks!

PS - This truck is epic in literally FEET of snow. Love it to death.
