Default Help. Range Rover Sport will not shift past 3rd gear

Help please. Our 2006 Sport will not shift above 3rd gear in automatic mode ( "D"), however I can put it in Sport, then put it back into Drive and it will shift to 4th, but stay now in 4th, and I can do it again and it will shift to 5th, and doing it again will let it go to 6th. I can also put it in Sport Mode then manual and shift up and down manually through all the gears, it just will not do it in D mode. Any thoughts?

Hey Mike, I'm experiencing this same issue with a 2007 range rover hse that I just purchased. I only have 43K miles but won't shift into 5th, and sometimes 4th, on the freeway. I'm going to have the tires looked at tomorrow based on your post. Wondering if there's something else that can be done. I mean tires have to be rotated, yes? Also curious why this isn't a more common post. Everyone has to rotate tires and I've been researching for a few days until I finally stumbled upon your post.
