2004 D2 Restoration
Howdy .
Not crazy restoration just very reliable..
Bought 2 spare D-2's.. One an 03 SE-7 for rear seats..
My want is your recommendations regarding wheels/tires.
Mostly on-road (90%) and, I'm still going off-road, not crazy..
I'm in Southwest Arizona
I have stock 18" wheels & I have stock 16" wheels.
I'm told 16" give me more cost-effective tire options.
Yes, I prefer to ride on high & wide tires but, am not lifting it.
New OEM Shocks..
Please advise your experience recommendations?
Much appreciated.
AJ
I'll have plenty spare parts when complete, end of this month.

The nicest part of the SE7 is the rear Air conditioner, but maybe that comes in other models, I don't know.
Refresh the entire Cooling System, all hoses, and Thermostat. Make sure the Radiator is flushed out really well and it maintains good temp. That means getting a Scangauge, ultragauge or other OBDII tool to monitor.
Do all Fluids, check all hoses, and look for leaks.
Pull off the top of the intake, do new injectors, coilpacks, plugs and 8mm wires, and give the lower intake manifold a good once over. It would not be a bad idea to do new Crankshaft position sensor, Throttle Position Sensor, but maybe not necessary.
If the Truck has never overheated, and the cooling system is in good shape, and you can monitor temps so that it never does.
I mean, an entire rebuild is a good idea, but it depends on miles, and what has already been done. New water and oil pumps would not hurt either.
