Hello all,
My Disco 2 starts cold fine and runs warm fine. I do have a new item starting to happen that I could use some help with. At around 1500 rpm it feels like it stutters. Not a back fire and no fault codes. I can power through it fine and it does not seem to be making the vehicle undependable. I have 90K on the unit and it is very well maintained. I want to call it a miss but that would be overselling it. It seems to me that I should start troubleshooting one of the inputs to the engine management system but where to start? I still drive the vehicle every day and it seems to do fine just the stutter. I does not seem to do it under power but only when I am at a level speed say around 30 to 40 and 1500 rpm. Any input or anyone with the same issue I would love to hear what you found. Thanks Scott

 

Plugs and wires new? Any codes?

 

Savannah, Plugs and wires are new as is the catalytic converters. There are no codes showing. I did borrow a Hawkeye meter from a friend and it showed that there were misfires on cylinders 3 and 5. I will check them this evening to see what they show.

 

I'd be double checking the wires with the codes.

Will the stumble happen in any gear at the same RPM?
