Default 2004 Disco "farting" Through gas cap

My wifes 04 disco has been making a weird rattling noise at the rear passenger side (which my wife refers to as the truck "farting"). I definitely narrowed down the noise to be originating at the gas cap. The wife took off the cap and drove like this for a while and there was no noise. Replaced the cap with a new one and the noise is still there. Any feedback on what is causing the fuel tank to pressure up so much would be appreciated. I did some looking to see how the tank vented but it looked as if the vent ended up in the fuel fill neck below the gas cap anyway.

2004 stock discovery, 95k miles.

that gas is pressurized. without the cap you are losing pressure and after a full drive cycle without a cap you will throw a check engine light. i'm not sure why you are hearing that sound but it could be anything from the evap system to the pump.

Yup, your EVAP system is clogged.
Prob a clogged purge valve, how long has your check engine light been on?

My wife blames it on the gas cap, too.

This is all happening after a maintenance rebuild I pulled the Plenum we change the coil packs spark plug wires and new spark plugs, when I was in there the injector rings are kind of busted up a little bit so I decided to just put new injectors in and this is where I'm at now so I will pull it back off and see what I can find with pictures

"farting", that sounds like my cat, she's absolutely lovely until she's asleep on your lap then 'farts', it's horrendous!
