Also, off topic: have you heard or know of OSRAM globes? My bud just got a pair of those puppies that I intend to put them on my headlamps AND foglamps-- supposedly they are the real-deal Holyfield. What headlamps do you use?

 

the globes are sealed, so i doubt it's because of the condensation. what you can do is get a voltmeter/multimeter and test to see if: a) there is resistance in the bulb, and b) there is current in the bulb housing. make sure you don't cross the test leads when doing a current test so you don't blow a fuse. it's most likely just coincidence they're both out.

i've just kept the stock headlamps. if i do upgrade, then i'll go with headlamps mounted on a new a-frame brush bar or something.

 

If the bulbs are hot and cold water/condensation hits them they will blow and not work.
Are the low beams and high beams separate bulbs on the '04?

 

My 03 drivers side lamp filled up w/ water the first week I had it. Pulled the trim piece off drilled a couple of holes. No problems since.

 

Yes the low beams and high beams are the same (h7-55)... fogs are h11-55

 

OK-- i will work on that. The issue with me is that I don't have my own garage, so I have to make sure I know what I'm doing if I take it to one of the ad-hoc garages and help the guy thru. Cheers again... AJ

 

Drill 3 shallow holes on both the top and bottom of the headlamp. Use 3/16 bit. Solved my problem! I can't thank everyone enough for their contribution to this site!
