Thanks for all the input and great advice. Turns out the car was a heap. Had oil, diff, etc. leaks and had dealer quote of $5K plus just for the leaks, moon roof did not work, wipers, batt was dead, etc. etc. I was looking to buy long distance in CO, I am in VA, so I had a LR review. The dealers pics and story lined made this look like quite a find, but it was obviously not the case. While the search goes on, I still appreciate your input(s), I will use them once I do find a decent used LR. Thanks again.

Mine actually leaks very little motor oil, a spot or two here and there but thats it.
It will stop once I switch back to the summer oil.

I've checked my fluids twice and have only had it for that many weeks. Today when I finish I will have changed every fluid in the discovery in the last two weeks since I've bought it. Nothing is low and I park it in my garage and there is zero remnants left over on the ground when I pull out other than a little dirt/snow.

Something is f'd up though it clicks when I turn the wheel while parked or moving slowly. Guess I'll start in on fixing whatever that is as soon as I get the last of these fluids changed. After today I'll have the entire 60K dm service done. My cousin still has his 97 disco that he bought new and he claims that his doesn't leak much.
