Default 2004 DiscoSE7-First Rover-Need Insight

G'day all,
I've cought the rover bug and want to buy or build an extended stay backcountry beast that wil take me boarder to boarder or coast to coast . And when all said and done I dont want to spend any more than 11K fully outfitted. I like most of the things I have read on the 2004 disco SE7's when well maintained . Found a few low (80-100k) mileage ones in the 8-10k range. I am a capable DIY'er, but found one all customized already. from what I have read from y'all its in the 'death range' @ 89,000 miles. I am wondering 3 things:
1) Whats everyones thoughts on this setup for $12,900(negotiable)
2) Should I buy something else and just outfit it myself?
3) and if so, what is the best rover for my purpose??

The details from owner:
owned since 20k
went fully synthetic @30k
little weeping from the valve cover gaskets and the rear diff
replaced the thermostat and flushed out the cooling system.
few dings on body and small nick in seat uphosltery
No codes being thrown or warning lights
and all cylinders are firing true and good

The range in which the delightful motor separates the Disco enthusiast from the status enthused. The 60k-100k make over of neglected/ and or bunk motors. I only know what I have read on this forum, so let me know if I am mistaken...

Or, it could mean the 2003 VIN range with the bad oil pump...apparently
