@donniefitz2 love the the wheels. Agree maybe the tires could be wider. QUESTION: Where did you buy the wheels from? I'm currently looking to change my stock 18s with 16s and on the hunt for a good looking wheel - yours look rad. Also knowing what you know now what tire size would you recco for me? Thx!
I think you might be mistaking my wheels for the @dswilly steelies? Mine are just factory S model D2 wheels that I plastidipped black. The problem with D2 wheels is, there are very few, almost none, in the aftermarket. I would recommend this tire size for sure (having had both factory size and 285/75's). Everything about it is good. I was also able to test them out off road today and they were great. No issues there.
After a bit more research, I
that look like they would fit a D2. They don't appear to be for any particular model vehicle. The size is 16x6.5 5x120 72.5 center bore. That width is pretty ideal for 235/85 tires. Offset is +45 so they would be set out a total of 12mm more than the factory D2 wheels (not necessarily bad). I searched around and found a site that said they are rated for 1,367 pounds (5,468 total). Not quite as high as as a D2 needs but not too far off either. They also weigh 22 pounds each, which is pretty light, lighter than the Odyssey wheels at 29 pounds. I might buy one and see what the quality is like.

That additional 7 pounds could be what gives the Odyssey wheels more strength, I guess. Like you said before, it's hard to imagine a steel wheel failing other than bending it hitting some curb or pothole too hard.
They may not be as meaty, but I think it looks really nice. I bet some steel wheels would make it "look" more like how you want, and if you encounter a lot of rocks, then steelies are better anyways.
