I searched and searched and could not find a suitable steel wheel for the D2 and Skinny tires in order to emulate those Camel trophy trucks of my youth. Found Don's video and it inspired me to do the same. The LT235/85R16 really transforms the Disco! I threw up all the pictures I took of the process here: https://nextcloud.independence18040....nF3yJoXxo8gdfa
The weight of my 5 spokes and the OE size rubber came in at 59 lbs. The budget AT tires and the steel wheels weigh 64lbs each. Ease of steering and traction is much improved. Acceleration from the 4.0 is now acceptable, down a few notches from what I would have described as adequate. The one screw up I made was not noticing that two of the wheels are missing a few holes before I cut them or I would have sent them back to the seller. I got them for $89 each shipped from ebay. The quality of them is fairly good but not perfect- they are refurbished and the paint is still not fully dry.
They are for a 2009 era Honda Odyssey minivan in 16x7. If I recall the offset is 7mm to the outside, so very close to stock. You will need to find a machinist that can open the center bore to fit. I don't recall the exact numbers for this.
