Default 2codes and engine Ticking

I'm getting P0203 ans p0303 One is a bad injector?? and the other is a mis fire #3. OK so what's is causing the ticking sound....could it be the injector? I am really troubled by this and don't know what to even expect anymore. The truck is a 2001 Disco with 117K . Just did the plugs and wires NOW this someone please give me and Idea of what to do......

could be a wire not properly attached to the spark plug. the spark will arc to the block, rather than travel through the spark plug because there is much less resistance. Electricity will always take the path of least resistance. Check your plug and wire on number 3 both on the spark plug and on the coil pack. I am willing to be money that ticking is a stray spark. If it is at night time you will see the spark. Lets us know what you find.

best to keep this all on one forum thread. makes it easier for us to help you.

agreeing with elrocha, i believe it's a wire arcing too. does the clicking get faster as you rev the engine? does the clicking sound electrical in nature? not mechanical etc.

the dead give away though, is if the clicking only started after you did the wires, then that is definitely what it is.

reach your hand back to the coil pack and make sure all the wires are connected nice and snug.

Is the tick externel or valve train noise?

And make sure you have the engine off before you attempt said procedure above or else you will know what it feels like to get briefly hit with a police stun gun of there is a loose plug wire and the engine is running. The ticking and miss in #3 is a dead giveaway. Try looking under the hood in the dark with the engine running and I can almost guarantee you will see the spark.
