Default 3 amigos, on for 10 minutes, then off?

I have a 2003 Disco with 89000 some odd miles on it. I was out running errands and as I left one place the 3 lights came on TC, ABS and Hill decent. I had already pulled out into the freeway entrance lane so I drove about 5 miles until I could exit. I turned the engine off and restarted and the lights were off and did ot come back on, at least yet.

Any thoughts? I've got to do a 900 mile road trip next week and sure don't want the hassle of this right now!

Same with me. A squealing brake triggers it for me. Lights are on until I turn ignition off then when I restart lights are off.

Had speed sensor (harness) replaced. And every couple of months a brake will squeek and set off the amigos.

These are "soft codes". They will come and go like that. However that doesn't mean the problem is fixed or that your rover healed itself. You still need to get the codes read. Most of the time it will be a speed sensor triggering the amigos. So if you've had a recent brake job it could trip this. Hell if you hit a hard bump it can throw up the amigos. But I stress, your rover did not heal itself. You'll see those amigos again until you get the codes read and cleared.

I agree, when you can, go get the codes read by your mechanic, but don't loose sleep over it right now if you are needing to take a trip. By the way, when the lights are on, try a hard stop and see if your brake pedal still pulsates from the ABS.

Well, they have come on 2 more times sinceI originally posted thequestion. I have noticed that both times have been after driving awhile and then letting the car sit for 30 minutes to an hour and then restarting. I get the lights on and I found that if I drive a mile or so and the engine fully heats back up and I turn off the engine and restart, the lights stay off. They also don't come on when the engine is cold in the morning or after it is hot and I make a short stop, say to fill up with gas.

I did feel like I noticed the pulsation when hard breaking when the lights were on yesterday, is that a good sign?

I would imagine it is important to get the codes read when the lights are on, correct? I mean if they go off their would be no code to read. Sorry, this all Greek to me!

Thanks for the help!

I forgot to add that I have not done any brake work and they are in good condition and don't squeel or put out a lot of dust. I bought the car used at 87000 so I don't know if they are LR pads or aftermarket but on a recent checkup at the LR dealer for something else they measured my rotors and said they were fine.
