3 Amigos - ABS Code Interpretation
2000 Disco 2, 3 amigos, p1590 code, had Advanced Auto put an ABS code reader on it and here's what it read back:
P1590 MOD $12
Transmission
Control Module
Torque Reduction
Request
Communication
Does this provide any clues as to the root cause of my three amigos? Maybe my own ignorance, but this appears to be the way that the code reader is interpreting the 1590. I was sort of expecting some other ABS code, but I have no experience with this.
Thanks in advance,
Steve

Right church, wrong pew - it is ABS rough road signal circuit malfunction
IMHO one of the great mysteries of life is why a computer weasel decides that his device can read the codes from every vehicle on earth, and produce the number (simple) and the text that goes with it (very hard) and suggested parts change (not always on target). Think of it, in the palm of your hand a magic box that contains all the info in every tech manaual ever written for every vehicle on the planet. This is why we ask people to submit the numbers. I suspect that parts stores must have a lot of returns when parts purchased have nothing to do with the code.
However, we are armed with the RAVE, and the engineers who built our trucks say that code P1590 is not that. See attached page. You can search the entire shop manual for codes with your PC in seconds.
P1592 ABS rough road signal circuit high
Signal from SLABS ECU short circuit to vehicle battery supply

Thanks SB! I did have the OBD code definition but my understanding is that there is a corresponding ABS code that needs to be read. Is this correct?
Either way, what's my next step with this?
TIA,
Steve
